I am the Frank J. Kellegher Professor of Trusts & Estates at Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. As the so-called “death and tax” professor at Creighton, I teach law courses addressing various aspects of taxation, wills and trusts, and business. My research and scholarship is focused on innovative death services technology, posthumous use of artificial intelligence, and taxation of “dirty luxuries” (such as billionaire survival bunkers and private jets).

I am regularly engaged by media including PBS NewsHour, Associated Press, National Public Radio, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Forbes, and Fox News/Fox Business. I am available for interviews on all topics related to the law and pop culture, tax policy, the funeral/death industry, industry disruption, emerging markets, student loan debt, and women and the law.

The power of words is truly mesmerizing, and much of my time is spent writing. Current book projects include a non-fiction book on the death industry and a fiction dystopian novel.
